Glare is light bouncing back at you off a road, off water, off the car in front of you. A polarized lens blocks the bounced light and lets the rest through. The road stops flaring and colors stay where they were. Every pair of sunglasses we sell is polarized.

Screens run a lot of light at the blue end of the spectrum. Most of us are in front of one all day. A blue-light lens filters part of that blue before it reaches your eyes. That is the whole mechanism, and we will not tell you it does more than that. Most of our eyeglasses can be made with it.

One pair for inside and outside. Photochromic lenses sit clear indoors, darken in daylight, and clear again when you come back in. The change takes a few seconds each way. They darken less inside a car, because car glass blocks most of the UV that sets them off. Anti-reflective is not an upgrade you have to buy. Our Standard Clear lens is multicoated, so it already has it.

Oncoming headlights and a wet road throw a lot of scatter at you after dark. A night-drive lens is a light amber filter with an anti-reflective coating. It softens that scatter and lifts contrast against a black road. It does not brighten a dark road. No tint does. What it does is cut the glare that makes you flinch.

Somewhere in your forties, reading distance starts moving away from you. A progressive lens holds distance at the top, arm's length in the middle and reading at the bottom, with no line across the glass. The outer edges stay a little soft. That is how the design works, not a fault. Most people stop noticing after a week or two.
